Prosecutors on Friday questioned the appearing chief of the Presidential Safety Service (PSS) as a part of their investigation into the short-lived imposition of martial regulation.

The prosecution’s particular investigation group dealing with the case started questioning PSS Deputy Chief Kim Seong-hoon as a witness at round 10 a.m.

Police detained Kim final week on prices of main efforts to dam investigators from executing a warrant to detain President Yoon Suk Yeol over his martial regulation bid.

Police later sought a warrant to arrest Kim, however he was launched after prosecutors dismissed the warrant.

Afterward Friday, police once more sought an arrest warrant for Kim, accusing him of obstructing official duties and abusing his authority.

Police have reportedly gathered testimony from PSS officers that Kim and one other senior PSS officer have been getting ready firearms through the police’s execution of the second warrant towards Yoon. (Yonhap)
